Project Description

The Project Involves the construction of two to separate developments, namely Phase 4 and ERF 30. Phase 4 includes constructing a new Vehicle Distribution Service (VDS) facility to support the company’s national operational growth. The works comprise approximately 68,000 m² of light vehicle parking storage, together with bulk earthworks, clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping, and preparation of roadbed formations. The scope further includes relocation and protection of existing services, trench excavations for water and stormwater reticulation, bulk water and fire reticulation connections, undercutting and replacement of unsuitable material, pavement layer construction, asphalt surfacing with kerbs and channels, stormwater attenuation systems, fire reticulation to storage areas, and final landscaping and finishing works.

The Erf 30 Extension development consists of a hardened parking area of approximately 27,000 m² for heavy vehicles and agricultural equipment. Works include similar activities to Phase 4, namely service relocation, clearing and grubbing, topsoil stripping, bulk earthworks, trench excavations for water and stormwater, bulk fire water connections, roadbed preparation, replacement of unsuitable material, pavement layer construction, stormwater and fire reticulation, and landscaping.

In summary, the project delivers large scale vehicle storage facilities with associated civil infrastructure, bulk earthworks, pavement construction, stormwater management, fire services, and site finishing works.
